Hoy tenemos una entrada muy especial y es que, el pasado 27, 28 y 29 de Junio se celebro en Londres el evento de maquillaje profesional mas grande y multitudinario del Mundo. Como no, allí estuve yo y  tambien mi amiga Marga Lopez, que como buena maquilladora profesional y buena conocedora de los productos para maquillaje, no quería perder la oportunidad de esta allí. 

IMATS es algo mas que una feria de productos de maquillaje, se trata de un evento donde puedes encontrar personas que han trabajado en el maquillaje de películas ganadoras de premios Oscar y BAFTA entre otros. Es muy interesante ver que técnicas utilizan para crear diferentes personajes con pieles sintéticas, sangre...

Aquí tenéis unas imágenes muy peculiares de como se puede realizar una autentica transformación con distintas técnicas y materiales.

Today we have a very special post, and this is because last 27, 28 and 29 of June, London hosted the biggest and massive Make-up Artist event in the world. I was there with my friend Marga Lopez who, as a very good professional make-up artist and highly experienced in make up products, didn't want to lose the oportunity of being there.

IMATS is much more than a Make-up artist event, is an exhibition where you can find people who participated in the creation of the make-up for movies awarded with prizes as Oscar and BAFTA among others. Is very interesting to see which techniques are currently being employed to create different characters with synthetic skin, blood...

Here you have some very peculiar images where you can see how an authentic transformation can be done with different materials and techniques.

Impresionante verdad? Bueno pues estos son solamente algunos ejemplos de los muchos que pudimos encontrar allí. Cada uno de ellos supone un arduo trabajo de muchas horas y muchos profesionales del maquillaje trabajando para conseguir los acabados mas espectaculares.

Pero nosotras no íbamos precisamente a ver este tipo de maquillaje para efectos especiales. Nuestra idea era visitar todos los stands de las grandes marcas de maquillaje profesional que utilizan los grandes maquilladores. Uno por uno os iré explicando los stands que visitamos y los productos que mas me gustan de cada una de las marcas.

Pretty impressing right? These are just some few examples from many others we could find there. Each of them represent many hours of work and many make-up artists working to obtain the most spectacular result.

The thing is that we were not exactly there for this type of make-up style but we were looking for the stands with the big Make-up brands, the ones used by the most famous make-up artists. One by one I will explain to you the stands we visited and the beloved products from each brand.

MAC professional, es posiblemente una de las marcas que utilizan los maquilladores profesionales que mas nos gustan. En el stand de IMATS, todos los productos tenian un 35% de descuento presentando la tarjeta de MAC pro. No esta mal verdad? 

MAC professional, is possibly one of the brands we prefer and the one the make-up artists use quite often. At the IMATS stand the  products had a 35% of discount showing the MAC pro card. Not bad ha?

El producto: Mi producto preferido de la casa MAC en IMATS fue una sombra de ojos. La sombra de ojos OMEGA es perfecta tanto para un maquillaje natural como para un maquillaje mas sofisticado. Su tono beige/taupe permite muchas combinaciones.  Ademas en mi caso la utilizo como sombra muy natural para perfilar las cejas, muy recomendable para rubias o para aquellas que les guste llevar las cejas definidas pero no demasiado oscuras. 

The product: My favourite product from MAC brand in IMATS was an eyeshadow. OMEGA eyeshadow is just perfect for a natural make up but it can be used for a sophisticated one too. The beige/taupe tone allows plenty combinations. Moreover, I use it to define my eyebrows, especially when you are blond and you don't want them to be very dark.

Otro producto estrella que me encanta es esta brocha biselada.  Puedes conseguir unas eye-lines de escandalo y al mismo tiempo matizar cejas. 

Another great product is this angle brush. You can get amazing eye-lines and shape your eyebrows up perfectly with it.

NARS es otra de las casas comerciales de maquillaje profesional que encontramos en IMATS. Los productos tenían un 45% de descuento presentando el carnet de maquillador profesional (Make-up Pro card). Sus bases de maquillaje son espectaculares y a mi parecer las mejores del momento. Yo utilizo la Sheer Glow que deja una piel perfecta, aterciopelada y al mismo tiempo muy luminosa. Ademas se adapta muy bien a los diferentes tonos de piel debido a su elevada pigmentación. Yo he probado muchas marcas y os puedo asegurar que esta base deja una piel increíble.

NARS is another professional make-up brand we could find at IMATS.  The products had a great discount of 45% with the make-up professional card (Make-up Pro card). The foundations are spectacular and to me, best foundations at the moment. I use the Sheer Glow which makes your skin looking perfect, smooth and brilliant at the same time. This foundation can adapt itself to every kind of skin tones due to its high pigmentation. I have tested several brands and I can assure you that this foundation make your skin incredibly beautiful.

El producto: mi producto de NARS adquirido en IMATS nada mas y nada menos que con un 45% de descuento es el TORRID blush que como podéis ver en la fotografía tiene una mezcla de tonos entre rosa y coral con un toque de brillo. Es un color muy utilizado para todos los tipos de maquillaje.

The product: my NARS product from IMATS with a 45% of disscount  is the blush TORRID which as you can see in the image, has a mixture between coral and pink colours with a bit of glow. This colour is commonly used for all types of make-up styles.

Esta sombra de ojos también me la lleve, es la Indian Summer, con dos tonos ideales para el verano o para todo el año si tienes ojos marrones o verdes.

I got this eyeshadow too, the Indian Summer, with two nice colours for this summer or even for the whole year if you have brown or green eyes.

HAKUHODO, la empresa japonesa líder en brochas también tenia su rincón en IMATS. Sus brochas de muy alta calidad, marcan la diferencia a la hora de aplicar los productos. Esta marca es menos conocida ya que no se comercializa en España pero es también una de las favoritas de los maquilladores.

HAKUHODO, the leader Japanese company in brushes had its own corner at IMATS. Their high quality brushes define the difference when appliying the products. This brand is less known because it is not being comercialized in Spain but is one of the top brands for the most famous Make-up artists.

Otra de nuestras marcas favoritas es sin duda Make Up Forever, con muchos productos también con descuento.

El producto: después de varias recomendaciones hice caso a Marga y opte por los polvos fijadores HD que se utilizan ademas de para fijar y mejorar el acabado de la base de maquillaje, también hacen que te dure mas tiempo y no te salgan brillos. Muy recomendable!

Y como ya tenia ganas de probarla también me compre una beautyblender que esta muy bien y deja un acabado muy bonito pero, sigo pensando que la brocha es lo mejor para la aplicación de la base. Si la habéis probado podéis comentarnos vuestras opiniones :).

Another favourite brand we have is Make Up Forever with many products with discounts.

The product: After several recommendations I listend to Marga and I got the fixing powder HD which you can use for make-up fixation (foundation fixation) and improve the finish of the foundation, making it lastig much longer and avoiding unwanted shine. 

And because I wanted to test it since long time, I also got the beautyblender which is very good and leaves a very nice finish in your mak-up foundation but, I rather use the brush which I think is the best method for foundation application. If you have tested it, you could give us your own impression :).

And this was today's post, I hope you liked it as much as me writing it! Nex year I would love to go to IMATS again! Or maybe we could just change the destination...How about IMATS New York? Anyone interested in it?? ;)
